Optional Extras We offer a range of optional extras to cater for almost every DNA testing situation. These are: -
Extended DNA studies
In special circumstances where there is a greater chance of an inconclusive result. - Additional persons
Over and above the standard number included in your chosen test. For example additional alleged fathers, mothers or children. In certain situations (eg half-sibling study), testing additional persons will improve statistical accuracy at a lower cost than ordering
extended DNA studies - Separate appointments
Prices quoted assume all participants attend at the same date and time. If separate appointments at our clinic are required, there is an additional charge. - Different clinics
Sometimes it is more convenient for one of the participants to attend a different
clinic (for example if they live in a different part of the country). In this case, the Different Clinics fee applies instead of the Separate Appointments fee. List of partner clinics > - Express processing
The standard in-laboratory time is 7–9 working days. You must also allow time for the samples to reach the
laboratories, and for the results to be posted to you. You can opt to have the results sent to you as an email attachment instead at no extra charge if you prefer.
If you require express DNA testing, we offer in-laboratory processing times as short as 8 hours on payment of the appropriate fee.
