We provide e-therapy on the following terms, which do not affect your statutory rights.
What it is. E-therapy is a process of communication. You have an opportunity to describe what is troubling you and the e-therapist will respond. The e-therapist will not be telling you what to do but will try to understand what you are saying. The e-therapist may ask you questions and may suggest alternate ways of thinking about what is happening. As a guide, we expect your e-mail to be no longer than 1000 words. The
e-therapist will spend about 30 minutes reading your message and preparing a reply. The actual length of the response will be as deemed appropriate by the e-therapist. Confidentiality. The fact that you have used this e-mail therapy facility and the content of your communications will not be disclosed to
anyone by us. The possible exceptions to this are: 1. the e-therapist receives supervision on their counselling. That supervision is itself confidential. 2. You may ask the e-therapist to communicate with a third party about the counselling you are receiving. 3. If you give information about someone being in danger of serious harm then the e-therapist will want to discuss with you how
we try to minimise this risk and the e-therapist may take steps to do so. 4. If the e-therapist is compelled by law to do so. 5. If a third party finds a way to access our communications (hacking).
This service is open to anyone, anywhere in the world. You must be at least 18 years old. BACK |
